Do I actually believe the prophecies about the "end of the world"? The more I become aware of our situation today, the easier it is to answer, yes. I'm so confident, I've already gone through most of the stages of grief!
1. Shock and Denial:
(Me...eyes popping out, floor pacing)"How come I haven't heard of this before? We are way in over our heads. It's too late. This is so crazy that it can't be true...but it is!"
2. Anger and Blame: (Me yelling at an old republican person)
"I'm sick of you "old people" dishing all of your problems onto my generation. How stupid can you be, letting the world get like this...and you say we're a mess? I'm starting to like the idea of euthanization!"
3. Bargaining: (To my poor wife)
There's got to be a way to fix it. Maybe I could build a website or run through the street yelling..."Go to my website or we're all finished!" I'll try REALLY hard, Then we'll all bust through D.C. and lynch all these satanist traitors!"
4.Depression, reflection, loneliness: (Again to my poor wife)
"Everybody's dumb. It's over. Is everyone crazy or am I going crazy?" (wife) "Yes, I think you might be."
5. Acceptance and Hope: (me, with enthusiastic optimism)
"We're in way over our heads. Maybe I could start a blog so others can learn about this, but not have to go through the stages of grief. We could try REALLY hard, and when this world finally falls to pieces, we can be prepared and have the know-how to put the pieces back together in the right way."
This is great Elijah! I am stuck in the "everybody is dumb" mode. It gets me back to angry mode where I feel like we are purposely being led into and brainwashed into being dumb. I'm even angry at God right now for letting this happen. I am especially angry with the huge number of people the Bible says will go to hell for this, and I can't believe it. Most people aren't satanists.
